Pests & Disease

Pests and plant diseases are a persistent and evolving concern for BC’s horticulture sector. Outbreaks can disrupt business, threaten plant health, and damage ecosystems. BCLNA’s involvement in this area shifts as new issues emerge—we may act as a connector, helping members stay informed, or as a more active participant in collaborative response efforts with provincial ministries, regional partners, and national organizations.

This is an area where we, as the BCLNA and our industry members, must remain responsive. As conditions change, so does the workplan for our staff to ensure we address these issues in a thorough and prompt manner.
