Landscape
Industry Certified
Beginning
in January 2010, CNLA and the Professional Landcare Network
(PLANET) are aligning their certification programs under one
brand – Landscape Industry Certified.
The number
of certified people is continuing to increase throughout Canada
and the United States. Now that we are reaching a critical
mass, we can start to achieve greater recognition, both by
the industry and the public. The idea of marketing one single
brand was brought about so that certification is more easily
recognizable and understood by the buying public.
Certification
assures your clients that you have proven skills as a landscape
professional. A Landscape Industry Certified professional has
passed internationally developed practical and written exams,
verifying their capabilities in a full complement of job requirements.
Many professionals hold certificates, degrees or diplomas,
indicating their formal training. Certification is not
a training program: it is proof of competency in specific
areas.
