About
the BCLNA
The BC Landscape & Nursery Association is a non-profit organization
working to serve BC's nursery growers, landscape professionals,
retail garden centres and the associated landscape horticulture
trade.
The BCLNA has more than 800 member companies, representing nursery,
landscape, retail, education, supply, service, and government organizations
working in the landscape horticultural industry.
The original organization was formed in 1953 and today is a vibrant
association, with chapters in the Lower Mainland, the Interior,
and on the Island. The BCLNA offers member companies leadership,
information, and services, toward the development of more knowledgeable
and responsible horticulture practices. Included in its mandate
is also business development and issues management for BC's green
industry.

President's Message
As
President, I am pleased to welcome you to our website.
The BCLNA is currently in its 55th year of providing services
and information to members. There is a wide variety of benefits
members can take advantage of. Check out the Join
BCLNA section
for all the details.
We are a very proactive association, dealing with issues that affect
our members and the community. The BCLNA has taken a leadership
role in developing programs that strengthen the industry such as
HortEducationBC. We also run certification programs for landscapers
and retailers, which will set your company and employees "above the rest".
We manage the CanWest Hort Show which is held every year in mid-September
and attracts buyers and sellers from all over North America. We
also publish an annual Buyers
Guide, GardenWise
Healthy Garden Guide, and a monthly magazine called HortWest -
all offering information on current events and opportunities for
members to advertise their products and services.
We are very proud of our association and are well respected by industry
and government. As previous BC Minister of Agriculture John van
Dongen recently said: "The BCLNA is in the good news business. When
you do encounter problems, your team has the organizational skills
to deal with them in a professional manner."
One of the goals of the BCLNA is to bring people and information
together - this website is intended to help with the process. We
invite input from users and welcome comments.
